Fudan University is a public university in Shanghai, China. The university is affiliated with the Ministry of Education and is co-funded with the Shanghai Municipal Government. It was founded by the Chinese former Jesuit priest Ma Xiangbo in 1905.

The university is part of Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction.
